FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick discussed which players will be absent from Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Brest, in addition to his team’s slump in form as of late.

Lamine Yamal has been a notable absence from the starting line up. With Barca losing both matches he has missed in La Liga, or at least hasn’t started, while also drawing on Saturday at Celta Vigo.

“Of course I took him off because Gerard got a yellow card. Last week, Balde had a muscular problem and before the game he had the same problem. We thought he could play but he didn’t. Today he felt better and he might be available for another game, but not tomorrow,” Flick said. Meanwhile, Yamal

is still struggling with an ankle injury. He has missed games against Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad and could return for Saturday’s trip to Las Palmas, but Flick has confirmed the 17-year-old will only be named on the bench.
